Crews called to house fire
Firefighters were called to a house fire in Hala Road, Lancaster at 8.20pm yesterday.
When the three fire engines arrived, crews found the blaze involved a bin compound, a spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said this morning.
They spent around 50 minutes putting out the flames, he added.
They used breathing masks, and a hose reel jet.
