Town hall likely to get new chief executive
A vote will take place tonight on whether to keep a chief executive post at Lancaster City Council.
Mark Cullinan, current chief executive, is due to retire in 2016.
The council has explored several options – to retain the post, share a chief executive with another local authority, or operate without one altogether.

If the council votes to agree with this, a special committee of councillors will then be set up.
Their task will be to recommend a candidate for the approval of the full council.
