Unspoilt rural pub wins prestigious CAMRA award
Joe Moore, landlord at the Limeburners Arms, said he was “shocked” to receive the award.
The pub was chosen by a panel of judges using definite criteria, from nominations by local members of the Lunesdale branch of CAMRA.

Presenting the certificate, branch chairman Michael Dillon said: “It is a real pleasure to present this award to an unspoilt rural pub.
“Three other pubs were nominated and the result was very close, but to win this award you don’t have to be a smart town pub having a big range of real ales. “The Limeburner’s Arms came out on top as it is a very good rural community pub selling good locally brewed real ale at reasonable prices. It is a friendly pub welcoming both locals and visitors alike and customers will always talk to strangers. Nether Kellet would be worse off if it were to close.”
Receiving the certificate, proprietor Joe Moore said, “I was quite shocked to receive this. Thanks to the members of CAMRA for choosing me and my customers for supporting me.”
