Neil Marshall column: It will be a huge honour to lead Lancaster City out in the final
I got to one semi-final in this competition and lost to Southport and then there was the President’s Cup final (when Lancaster City beat Belper back in 2011) but that was only at Witton’s ground so it’s certainly one of the biggest games I’ve ever played in.
It’s definitely the best ground and best pitch.
Speaking to people it sounds like a lot will be heading down from Lancaster as well.

Hide AdChorley get good crowds and with it not being too far for both sides to travel hopefully it will be a good atmosphere.
It’s just going to be a good occasion all round because the club has asked if I want to lead the side out with my son Max.
They are the big favourites but it’s a final, it doesn’t matter if they’re three, four or 15 leagues above us, and we’re not just heading there for a nice night out.
It’s just 11 against 11 in a one-off game.
They certainly have players we should be worried about and they are a good side.

Hide AdWe know all about them though. I’ve pretty much grown up with Connie (Jordan Connerton) since I was 10, Teaguey (Andy Teague) came to my lad’s christening and I went to Jarvo’s (Paul Jarvis) wedding.
If we turn up on the night with the young lads that we’ve got we can certainly cause them problems.
