Stand-in Lancaster City boss Graham Lancashire urges team to end winless run
The Dolly Blues have not won in four after previously going on an unbeaten run of 13 games, which contained 10 victories.
That run propelled them to second in the NPL Premier Division and although they remain there, Lancashire knows his men can’t afford to continue this run if they want to stay in the promotion hunt.

“Every team will go through a sticky patch in the season and if you look at the teams around us , they have had similar runs this season,” said Lancashire, who remains in charge as manager Mark Fell continues to recover after temporarily stepped down on health grounds.
“Leaders South Shields went through something similar after we beat them.
“Every club goes through it at some stage. It’s just a case of getting out of it as quickly as possible and getting back to winning ways.”

“We knew what to expect,” he said. “A new manager in Gary Hayward has come in and they got the new manager bounce.
“I think they will get themselves out of it and I think we’ll look back at it as decent point.”
This weekend, City welcome Stalybridge Celtic to Giant Axe in what is a crunch clash at the top. Celtic are in fifth but only four points behind City.

“They are exactly what we need to be every game. They work hard, they’re physical and close the ball down.”
Squad wise, Lancashire has concerns over Blackburn loan man Jack Evans, who missed Tuesday’s game with a slight niggle.
